Three days summer tour in Kola peninsula of Russia

Welcome to our exciting trip to the Arctic summer! Tour to the very heart of the Russian North to the Kola Peninsula of Russia. Polar day along with the Northern Lights is another unique feature of the Kola Peninsula.

The Sun does not set here from 22 May till 22 July painting everything around in gorgeous colors and allowing to admire the nature of the Arctic all days long.

Our three days tour starts from Murmansk, the largest city in the world located beyond the Arctic Circle. Murmansk is the hometown for “Lenin” icebreaker-museum (the first nuclear icebreaker in the world) and for the monument of nuclear submarine  “Kursk” drowned in the Arctic ocean.

We will visit the ancient fishing village Teriberka located on the coast of the Arctic Ocean, go to the Khibiny Mountains which are over 350 million years old and try to meet the Midnight Sun which does not set beyond the horizon in summer even at night. Also we will visit the ethnic settlement of the Sámi people – the indigenous people of the North!

We will give you a feeling of real freedom, magnificent views of the Arctic Ocean and unique landscapes of the harsh northern nature! Join us if you wish to experience the pleasure of rest and travel!

Tour program


Arrival of participants. Check-in to hotel. Excursion to reindeers and indigenous inhabitants of the russian North (Sámi people).

12:15 – 12:30Gathering of participants in the lobby of Azimut hotel.

12:30  Trip to the Sámi village.

14:00 – 15:00Acquaintance with the Sámi culture begins with the arrival of guests to the territory of the Sámi village. We will explore traditional Sámi houses, listen the stories about Sami culture, customs, beliefs and legends of this nation.

15:00 – 15:30In this part of the program we will meet reindeer, feed them with a moss, make unique selfies with these friendly animals and listen a story about the features of their breeding and lifestyle.

15:30 – 17:00Sámi lunch (fish soup made of salmon, tea, bread). You can make a pictures in the national dress of Sámi on the territory of the village.

17:00 – 18:00 – Return to Murmansk.

18:00 Free time or departure to the Midnight Sun excursion if the weather conditions will be favorable.


Excursion to the largest and most beautiful massif of the Kola Peninsula, which is more than 350 million years old

09:45 – 10:00 – Gathering of participates

10:00 – 13:30 – In this part of the program we will explore the existing quarry where mineral resources are mined, take a walk to the largest lake of the Kola Peninsula – Imandra, visit the city of Apatity, next to which there is a mineral processing plant supplying with fertilizers Russia and many countries around the world . We will visit the city of Kirovsk, where famous Soviet and Russian films were shot and where the popular ski resort is located.

13:30 – 14:30 – Lunch in Kirovsk

14:30 – 18:00 – Walk to the valley of the Khibiny mountains to the lake Maliy Vud’yavr. We will find ourselves in the center of a large valley which is surrounded by mountains peaks of various shapes and heights. Our path will pass along a mountain stream with crystal clear and transparent water. We will climb to the small mountain plateau with magnificent panoramic view. The lovers of good landscapes will appreciate it.

Then we will have a short trip to the mining settlement “25th Kilometer” where sometimes the real miners can be found right on the streets weared mining uniform. Also we will have a look to the buildings of Kirovsk mine.

Visit the mining and mineralogical museum of Kirovsk with the unique collection of stones and minerals from around the world. The age of some exhibits is about 90 million years!

18:00 Return to Murmansk.

20:00 Free time or departure to the Midnight Sun excursion if the weather conditions will be favorable.


A trip to the legendary northern village located on the very edge of the earth. Recently Teriberka become a place of pilgrimage for tourists from around the world.

07:00 – 08:15 – Breakfast at Azimut hotel, release the rooms

08:15 – 08:30 – Gathering of participates at the lobby of the hotel

08:30 – 10:30 – Travel to Teriberka begins from Murmansk and passes through the Arctic tundra – a vast area in northern Russia, Canada and Greenland, where there is no vegetation in the form of trees. On the way we will see the worship cross, Seid – a stone of mysterious origin in which according to Sami’s beliefs dwell the spirit of the dead shaman and explore the landscapes similar to the Norwegian fjords

10:30 – 12:30 – Excursion around the Teriberka village. The place became well known thanks to the shooting of the film “Leviathan”, which was nominated for Oscar in 2014. Abandoned fishing huts and life of local residents

12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch in a cafe

13:30 – 15:00 – we will stop at the cemetery of old abandoned ships flooded in a small bay, take a walk along the coast and visit a picturesque waterfall flowing into the Arctic Ocean. Make a great selfie on a cliff that goes into the deep sea

The polar day along with the Northern Lights is another unique natural phenomenon of the North. From 22 May till 22 July our guests can enjoy the Sun that does not set beyond the horizon even at nighttime.

20:00 – 22:00 – Departure to Midnight Sun excursion (depending on the weather conditions)

We will go to one of the beautiful place of the Kola Peninsula to meet the Midnight Sun. The northern nature is amazingly beautiful at this time. Crystal rivers and lakes, fresh leaves of small northern trees, many types of moss create their own unique atmosphere.
